AS•U•GO provides opportunities for cross-cultural learning through interactive conversations between Appalachian State international student speakers and K-12 students and teachers in our regional public schools.

AS•U•GO Speakers are primarily Appalachian student volunteers (international, exchange, and education abroad returnees), and occasionally visiting scholars, faculty and community members with extensive international living, work, and/or study experiences.

Each year, the Office of Multicultural Student Development coordinates a variety of educational and enrichment events that are free and open to the public. The Diversity Speaker Series offers engaging presentations on issues and topics of diversity and social justice.  The Diversity Celebration is a one day festival that showcases the sights, sounds, movement, art, history and food of many cultures from around the world.
