Mission: University Recreation offers the children of the High Country a safe, instructional environment where they can explore a variety of recreational activities including outdoors, sports, leadership and fitness during the summer months. This also opens the door for the students of ASU to create, develop and execute day camp activities while attending classes and living in the area.

Types of Camps offered:

General Camp: Rising 2nd - 6th Grade
Explore University Recreation through activities planned by the students on Campus! These activities include Sports (traditional, non-traditional & Camp UREC style), Fitness (Animal Yoga, learning how our body works & some basic nutrition), Outdoors (hikes in University Woods, fun-yaks in the pool & mountaineering on Campus) and traditional Camp activities (arts & crafts, songs & skits).

Adventure Camp: Rising 7th - 9th
Did you know we have great adventures right in our backyard?! In collaboration with Outdoor Programs, Camp UREC offers an unforgettable experience of exploring the High Country through activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, team-building, rafting and hiking. OP provides trained staff to guide the Camp UREC Campers and a Counselor through day activities.

Campers In Leaders Training:

Rising 7th-9th Campers in Leadership Training is a program which gives rising 7th-9th graders the opportunity to learn, identify and apply their leadership skills. Through this week long program, campers have the opportunity to participate in general camp activities such as pool time, climbing wall and fun games but will also be able to reflect and establish leadership skills through intentional programming.
